Zaizi ‘Highly Commended’ for Best Employer at 2025 Computing Women in Tech Excellence Awards
Zaizi was “highly commended” in the Best Employer category at the Computing Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2025.
Competing against ten other organisations in the category, Zaizi finished second, just behind Justice Digital at the Ministry of Justice.
The best employer category recognises organisations that create inclusive environments where women and diverse teams can thrive.
The recognition means a lot to us at Zaizi. It reflects the culture we’re building: a place where women are championed, supported and seen.
A place where diverse teams feel confident to lead, to innovate, and to shape digital government in ways that truly work for the people who rely on it.
The panel assessed nominees on their commitment to diversity and inclusion, including establishing employee resource groups, leadership support from the top, and transparency in tracking progress toward D&I goals.

“I’m incredibly proud that we were shortlisted and given ‘highly commended’ for the Best Employer award at the Women in Tech Excellence Awards 2025,” said chief people officer Tracey Robinson.
“This means so much to us because it reflects our deep commitment to building a company where women are not just included, but truly championed, seen and heard.
“From mentoring and training that empowers our women to grow to flexible work policies that support a healthy work-life balance, we’re dedicated to making our company the best possible environment for women in tech. And beyond that, we empower our female employees to mentor, volunteer and support other women in the broader tech community.
“To everyone at Zaizi, thank you for helping us create a culture where women are truly championed.”
“When you walk into Zaizi, you can see everybody — you can see yourself”
The award nomination recognises our commitment to diversity, which we believe is a cornerstone to innovation.
Our female staff say they feel represented at Zaizi; they see people who look like them and feel encouraged, confident, and motivated to participate fully.
Here are just a few reflections from the women at Zaizi:
- “When you walk into Zaizi, you can see everybody — you can see yourself.“
- “For the first time in my career, I don’t see myself as an outsider in a company”
We’ve established clear, measurable targets, including a 50-50 gender ratio, and hold leadership accountable for progress through regular reviews and performance metrics.
We take several measures to get to that goal, including:
- Spearheading gender diversity through hiring and promotion
- Encouraging diversity through our culture
- Inspiring gender diversity through leadership
Our apprenticeship scheme has a positive impact on underrepresented individuals, with nearly three-quarters of the participants female. The programme has welcomed working mothers, career changers, and refugees.
