Zaizi wins ChangeMaker award for empowering women in tech

Zaizi has won the ChangeMaker award at the Women in Software Awards hosted by Makers Academy.

It’s our second award this year that recognises our efforts to empower and promote women in tech — in June we won the ‘Women in Tech Employer Award.

The ChangeMaker category honours the mentors, organisations and allies who empower women in tech.

Zaizi’s Chief People Officer, Tracey Robinson, said: “Diversity and inclusion are core to our strategy. Over a third in our organisation are women, far exceeding the industry average. Most of our intern cohort are talented young women starting their tech journeys. And add to that, nearly half of our employees come from minority backgrounds.

“We have working mothers, career changers, and individuals who have come to this country as refugees.

“Our strategy helps us deliver the diversity of thinking needed to deliver public sector projects successfully. It’s important for us; the communities we serve are diverse, so our teams must be too.

“And these accolades are a testament to our commitment to make a positive impact on gender diversity and equality within the tech industry.

“Gender equity requires relentless effort. The work continues, but we celebrate today.”

Celebrating women in tech

The Makers Women in Software Awards was created five years ago with a mission to celebrate and amplify the voices of women in the industry.

Its PowerList category highlights individuals and their work as role models for others to follow. One of our upcoming stars, Emily, received a nomination for the category.

“Today, our values to champion diversity fiercely, and celebrate women unapologetically, are more relevant than ever,” said Makers Academy.

“Thank you to this year’s winners, shortlist and each one of you who took the time to submit nominations.” it added.

We put a lot of effort into making Zaizi an enjoyable and fulfilling place to work, and it’s great to see that our efforts are being recognised.

Recently, we’ve been named finalist in the “Best Place to Work” category at the prestigious BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards 2023. We also achieved Most Loved Workplace® certification.
